Job Overview:
 
Our Client is seeking a professional, experienced, and highly organized Legal Assistant to join their Fort Lauderdale office, supporting the Partner and attorneys in their Commercial Litigation Practice Group. This is a full-time, in-office role in a fast-paced legal environment with a strong emphasis on accuracy, reliability, and teamwork.
 
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing high volume practice
  • Schedule numerous hearings and maintain attorney calendar
  • Maintain attorneys' paper and electronic files
  • Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence
  • E-file documents with courts
  • Other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Florida court filing systems and e-filing procedures
  • Experience with scheduling hearings, depositions, and maintaining litigation calendars
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with document management software preferred (training available)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex instructions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, team-oriented demeanor and a positive, can-do attitude
